ResponderEliminarFollowing her two Let's Get Loud concerts in 2001, Lopez announced she would like to go on a full tour in 2002, however, this plan did not come to fruition.[1] In January 2005, Lopez revealed to MTV News that was in the midst of planning a tour to support her fourth studio album, Rebirth. Lopez stated: "I've tried to plan a tour so many times [...] And we're planning it again. It's exciting. We'll see if it happens [...] I've learned not to get my hopes up. I can't wait!" Lopez also added that she envisioned the tour as "Just me doing my thing".[2] However, details for a tour were never unveiled and there subsequently was never one.[3]
In May 2011, Lopez announced plans to launch a tour in support of her seventh studio album Love?. Lopez stated that: "My fans have waited a long time for this. We really want to do it at least once in my lifetime."[4] In March 2012, it was announced that Lopez would headline two popular music festivals in Brazil.[5] While promoting the announcement, the singer mentioned she would like to venture onto a world tour "at some point". Following the announcement, Billboard reported Lopez was in talks to launch a co-headlining tour with Enrique Iglesias.[6] On April 30, 2012, Lopez announced the joint tour with Iglesias on On Air with Ryan Seacrest.[7] Further details reveal famed tour director Jamie King will direct the show alongside Lopez's boyfriend Casper Smart.[8]

Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad designed tour costumes for Lopez.[9] Lopez has been a fan of Murad's creations, having worn them to various red carpet occasions and as her role as judge on American Idol.[10] Murad unveiled two designs for the tour on June 12; the before-and-after sketches featured an elaborate red robe over the top of a shimmering red dress.[11] Overall Murad created six new looks for Lopez's show. This included the elaborate red robe and a plunging catsuit which Sarah Bull of Daily Mail said clung to her figure, a feathered skirt and hat, a jumpsuit and two capes among other looks.[10][12] Bull commented that the skintight catsuit "bursts of diamantes to conceal her modesty."[12]
